Hello to all there,
This week was pretty good, we got a lot done and what not. We have been working in a new area here that has been left untouched for 5 years from the other missionaries because it is so far and dangerous. Needless to say we will be baptizing someone from there this week and we will continue baptizing people there for hopefully a nice while. Which is very thrilling to me to say the least.
I thoroughly enjoy missionary work, it is said that some missionaries will be hunters and some fishers. The fishers raking in the success, while the hunters searching high and low for one or two souls, venturing into the most difficult parts. Nicaragua is certainly a fisherman's paradise, but you still have opportunities to meet some people of pure quality.
For example, a month ago we were able to baptize a family of gold. He will be receiving the priesthood this Sunday and she, unbeknownst to us, was fasting the day she was confirmed, and since then she has had multiple very strong and incredible spiritual experiences!
In the end I have learned this is not my work, it is the Lords. He prepared that family, He touched their hearts and has merely given us the joy and blessing of being the net that brought them in. While at times I feel more of me is frayed than whole, I am always amazed at the way the Lord so perfectly knows us and therefore can use us to bring to pass this marvelous work.
I would like to wish all of the mothers out there a wonderful Mothers Day! You are the most amazing people ever, and we are all inspired by you and grateful for you. I love you all and wish you all the best.
Including my mom, she is the best, Love You Mom
