I hope everyone is superb as I am! This week was a decent week with some success, Sunday was a bit of a let down, but that happens, just got to work harder and pray and fast more.
I would like to share with all something about the law of consecration, and as it applies to missionary work. Our mission presidents wife shared with us this in my third week on the mission. She said in every mission there are other missionaries, good missionaries, and excellent missionaries, but only about 3 or 4 consecrated missionaries, if that, in a mission. Consecrated missionaries are the missionaries that give up all disobedience, laziness, sin and doubt, they go the extra mile in all they do. She said that 2 consecrated missionaries can do more than 100 regular missionaries. These missionaries have a devotion and love for the Lord and His work that is almost amazing and a desire and love for the people that knows no limits.
As a young missionary this talk she gave hit me so hard and I felt such a desire to become that missionary. I lack much yet but I am striving to get there. Developing a love for the Lord and His gospel that is amazing, exactly obedient and insanely diligent, losing everything about myself in order to place an acceptable offering unto the Lord. She said that both Cain and Abel served missions, but Abel was consecrated to the Lord in all, for in that his offering was pleasing unto the Lord. I want to be like Abel, I desire with all my being to be the best I can possibly for Him and no one else!!
Ocotal is a battle here but in this work no one can truly lose unless they quit fighting, and I will not stop fighting!
